It’s been a while since I made any new sea glass designs, and as I’ve had a couple of fairly well-matched pieces set aside for earrings since last year, I thought it was time I did something with them.
It’s quite difficult to find two pieces of sea glass that are similar enough in size, shape, and colour to make a pair of earrings. However close they are, they are never identical, and I always warn people not to order if this worries them. I think these work well as a pair though. They’re a really pretty pale aqua green colour, and I have pierced out the back of the settings so that the light shines through.
They are available from my Etsy shop, along with my other sea glass and sea pottery designs.
It’s been slightly bitter-sweet working on these earrings, as it’s been ages since I’ve been able to get to the sea, and I really miss doing a bit of beach-combing. So for me, and for everyone else who is missing the sea, here are a couple of shots of St Monans in Fife, which is where I found the glass for these earrings.
