We recently moved house, and our new home has a number of skylight windows. Obviously, the drawback to these is that you can’t actually look out of them and admire the view. On the plus side, they do frame the sky and treetops, and they let in a lot of natural light.
An unexpected bonus, which is becoming apparent now that autumn is here, is that the falling leaves drop onto the glass and stay there until the wind or rain move them on.
On a bright morning, we get to see stunning sights like this, of backlit leaves against a brilliant blue sky. It’s a timely reminder to look for the beauty in little things.
