As April progresses, more and more blossom is staring to appear, both in the garden and the surrounding woods. In fact. some of the early cherry blossom down in the local town of Brioude is already finished.
Blossom time is so fleeting, it’s lovely to be able to capture it on camera. I thought I’d share some images that I took yesterday, whilst the sun was shining. It’s very grey and wet today – typical April weather.
Most of these were taken in he garden, and the wild cherry and blackthorn were both nearby. We’re very excited to have blossom on the plum and pear trees for the first time. Fingers crossed for some fruit, although there’s many a slip between blossom and harvest.
