To see a World in a Grain of Sand
And a Heaven in a Wild Flower
Hold Infinity in the palm of your hand
And Eternity in an hour
from Auguries of Innocence by William Blake
I know, I know, I’m no longer doing Monday Verse. Yet it’s Monday, and here I am again. It seems that I just can’t help myself!
After weeks of sunshine, it’s turned grey, wet and , to be honest, a bit miserable here. But just to show that there is always beauty to be found even on the least promising of days, I spotted these raindrop suspended like a string of pearls from a wild rose stem. And that made me think of these opening lines by William Blake.
I won’t be doing this every week, but I think that maybe the occasional Monday Verse will still find its way on here.
Your Monday verses and pictures are always welcome in my world 🙂
