One of the things I love about this time of year is the low, mellow afternoon light. It’s been a bit overcast for the past few days, but yesterday the sun finally came out, so we took the opportunity to get out and take some photographs.
Nearby Lavaudieu proved to be an ideal location, as it was also very still, so there were some beautiful clear reflections on the River Senouire. Lavaudieu is classed as one of the most beautiful villages in France, and on an afternoon like this, you can see why.
Home afterwards to warm up (it was colder than it probably looks!) with some tea and apple cake, and that’s a short winter afternoon pretty much done.
