It’s been all about the earrings this week, which has given me the opportunity to work with my garnet and moonstone beads once again. For non-bead lovers, I was also working on a pair of polished silver crescent moon earrings.
The days are warm and sunny at the moment, but we’ve had some very chilly misty mornings, so I’ve had the woodburner going for the first time this autumn. Just to check it’s in working order before the winter, you understand.
Strangely enough, the cat is more interested in spending time with me when the woodburner is lit, which would be nice if she didn’t steal my chair every time I stand up for 30 seconds.
I’ve been listening to the new albums from Low and Yo La Tengo a lot over the past week. They’re both very melodic and slightly melancholy, very well suited to the mellow October days. I’m particularly enamoured with Yo La Tengo’s version of The Cure’s song Friday I’m In Love.
Anyway, I digress. Here are the finished designs. The drop earrings are also available with amethyst beads.
You can find them all in my online shop now.
Great new pieces – I see pusscat agrees! I love that version of Friday I’m in Love – hadn’t heard it before and am now playing it on loop – thank you!
Isn’t it gorgeous? I love it when someone takes a great song and does something completely different with it.
