weekly photo challenge: yellow

This week’s photo challenge asks us to step away from the traditional red and green of Christmas, and to seek out some summery yellow instead.

It’s been a very grey, wet month here, and bright colours have been in short supply, but my eye was caught by a splash of yellow in the garden the other day. On closer inspection, it turned out to be the last few blackcurrant leaves, still hanging on grimly. They’d all fallen by the time I got around to photographing them a couple of days later, but they still provide some much needed colour and cheer in an otherwise rather soggy and brown garden.

See much more yellow on The Daily Post blog.
