The sunny autumn weather is continuing, although it has turned much colder over the last couple of days. We decided to make the most of it this afternoon with a walk around the nearby village of Domeyrat, which has a ruined castle and a very pretty old bridge over the River Senouire.
The low light is really beautiful at this time of year, and it was slanting across the path we were walking, casting some amazing long shadows.
The hedgerows were absolutely full of autumn berries, including sloes, brambles, hawthorn, rose hips, and these very exotic-looking spindle tree fruits.
The other thing that Domeyrat has is a very small épicerie and bar tabac, so we were able to finish off with some light refreshment before heading home.
