I’ve been focusing on making earrings for the past week or so, after selling three pairs to one customer. Obviously this was really good news, but it did leave the shop a bit short. Never fear though, I’ve already added three new pairs to replace them, with more on the way.
One of the new designs is based on buttercups. They’re a hoop earring – the first ones I’ve had in the shop – with a brass buttercup flower threaded onto the hoop. I’m really pleased with how they turned out, especially the way the individual petals catch the light in different ways as the earrings move.
The earrings are pictured below, and you can see some different photos, plus the other two new pairs, on my Etsy shop.
Wild flower meadows still seem to be very common in this area, presumably because there is little or no intensive agriculture. People seem to keep a few cows, and move them around from one small field to another, so we get gorgeous meadows full of flowers, like the one below. Which I think is a tremendously good thing!
Those are so pretty and delicate….
Lovely earrings!
