The snow has nearly all melted at last, just a few patches remaining in the shady areas of the garden, and we had a glorious day of blue skies and sunshine today.
I did do some work on a pendant this morning (honest), but the lure of the great outdoors was too strong this afternoon. We got the bikes out from their winter hibernation and went for our first ride of the year. It was slightly chilly, but OK if you had enough layers on, and brilliant to be out in the fresh air and sun. It makes you feel that perhaps spring isn’t that far away after all.
Everywhere looks so much more cheerful in the sunshine, and the castle in one of the nearby villages was standing out particularly well against the clear sky.
Even better, David baked a lemon drizzle cake this morning, and it was waiting for us when we got back. Here’s to more days like this!
